Cancun Tennis Courts and Rentals
Most Cancun tennis courts are outside and many have flood lights so you can continue to play even when it gets dark. Only a few Cancun tennis courts are located indoors.
Most tennis courts in Cancun are located on hotel and resort property for guest use, however many of these are open to the public for a small fee.
Some hotels do charge their guests for court use as well, especially for night time use. The fees are usually around $10 – $20 per hour. If you are staying in an all inclusive resort, your day time Cancun tennis playing is most likely included in your stay.
Also, if you decided to pack light and didn’t bring your tennis racquet or balls, many of Cancun hotels and resorts offer these for rent. Tennis racquet rentals run around $7 -$11.

Cancun Tennis Lessons
Want to brush up on your game while away? There are several Cancun tennis pros can help you with your swing and serve.
The Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center at The Ritz-Carlton offers individual lessons, group and private clinics, pro-doubles matches, and assisted playtime. An hour private lesson is $85 for one player and $105 for two players. Their clinic is $35 per person and a two-pro doubles match is $150. The Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center has four lit Har-Tru clay courts.
Le Meridien Cancun Resort and Spa offers tennis lessons for $40 an hour. The resort has clay courts as well. JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa
has private tennis classes at $45 per hour. They also have ball machines for rent as well as racquets and balls. You can rent one of their two lighted tennis courts for $10 per hour. The Oasis Cancun
offers tennis lessons as well.
Cancun Tennis Packages
Cancun Tennis Packages combine your tennis playing with other amenities such as spa treatments or reduced hotel fees. It’s a good idea to call your hotel and see if they offer any special tennis packages for guests.
JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa offers Cancun tennis packages such as the “Tennis Addicts Package” which includes a class with the pro, use of the tennis courts, racquet and tennis ball rental and a selection of spa treatments. This package is $275. It is recommended to call for updated pricing or other Cancun tennis packages.
The Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center at The Ritz-Carlton’s Exotic Oasis tennis package includes a three night stay, two tennis clinic, unlimited court time, a mini spa retreat, and one culinary center session. Cancun Tennis Retreats
If playing tennis in Cancun is the main focus of your trip, a good idea would be to be a part of a Cancun tennis retreat.
These usually are three to four night intensive tennis clinics involving everything from competitive teams and awards to private tennis instruction and other amenities.

Cancun Paddle Tennis
Paddle Tennis is a sport similar to regular Tennis, but the court is smaller and has no doubles lines. The net is lower than a standard tennis court. If you would like to try this sport out, the Gran Melia Cancun is home to two Cancun paddle tennis courts.
