Cancun All Inclusive Resorts

Looking for a five-star love nest or luxury beachside retreat with a feast of fine dining, watersports and pampering treats wrapped in one neat package?

Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, an action-packed family holiday or a sunshine break with your mates, you’ll find the Cancun area has a wealth of seriously smart hotels.

We’ve picked three of the best hotels for luxury all-inclusive holidays in the Cancun area:

Best All Inclusive for…. ROMANCE

Check into The Royal, a luxury adult-only resort situated 30 minutes from Cancun airport, and a tranquil playground designed for grown-ups is at your service.

The beach: Picture a prime stretch of golden beach: You simply put a flag in the sand to summon a waitor when you’re ready for a cold drink and there’s not a bucket and spade in sight… And when you’re ready to hit the water, you’ll get a complimentary introductory scuba diving lesson and free use of snorkelling equipment and boogie boards.

The beds: This 285-room boutique style hotel has an intimate vibe. Ocean view junior suites feature double Jacuzzis overlooking the ocean and a terrace or balcony with patio furniture and hammock. Upgrade to an Ocean Front Royal Junior Suite and you’ll get extra treats including complimentary unlimited golf green fees, one hour Mini Cooper rental, and complimentary hydrotherapy at SPAzul.

The bars: Lounge around with a cold one in a choice of five bars or cool off with a cocktail in the Trade Winds Swim-Up Bar. And you can eat your way around the world at the fine selection of seven onsite restaurants serving light bites to candlelit feasts for two.

The spa: Enjoy a top to toe makeover at the beauty salon and sample the pampering treatments at the delicious Luxury SPAzul, Cancun’s only ocean view spa which specializes in holistic, Mayan inspired therapies.

Best All Inclusive for…. FAMILIES

When it comes to luxury all-inclusive holidays that ensure both Mom and Dad and the kids can have fun and relax, the Gran Melia Cancun, ticks all the right boxes.

The beach: The hotel’s architecture is inspired by Mayan culture and the Mexican Indian vibe extends to the beach where you’ll discover five spectacular pyramids built on the sand.

The beds: The hotel has a choice of 700 airy and beautifully decorated guestrooms offering views of the ocean or golf course. For a big treat, check into a junior suite or one of the three super deluxe suites.

The buffet: You’ll find a great choice of snacks and dishes that will appeal to even the pickiest little eaters at the hotel’s full service dining room with a la carte delights for grown-ups and an extensive choice of wines, beers and soft drinks also included in the price. Cocktails, premium spirits and fine wines also flow in the hotel’s elegant bar.

Just for kids: Little ones can let off steam in the hotel’s safe and secure playground and splash around in the children’s pool.

For grown-ups: Swing a club on the exclusive onsite golf course, dip in and out of the hotel’s lovely freshwater pools, work out in the gym, unwind in the whirlpool and sauna, or hit the beauty salon which offers a range of treats from massages to manicures. There’s also a babysitting service when you want explore the nightlife.

Best All Inclusive for…. FRIENDS

Looking for laid-back fun and five-star relaxation? Take a look at the Excellence Playa Mujeres, one of Cancun’s premier all-inclusive hotels where you can be as active or lazy as you wish…

I have stayed at the Riu Palace Los Americas in Cancun. This all inclusive Cancun hotel was so great that I have stayed there twice. It has a wonderful location close to the Cancun airport and is also close to town. The pools and hotel rooms are top notch. This all inclusive is wonderful for teens and adults alike. It was one of my daughters favorite spring breaks.

I like how it’s broken down into categories. Thanks Natalie!
